Kotobukiya has opened pre-orders for an ARTFX J 1/8 scale figure of Hilbert, the male protagonist of Pokémon Black & White, posed with Victini: ¥15,400 (about $105) tax-in, shipping March 2027. Pre-orders were already running by August 22 (JST), and the Kotobukiya Online Shop guarantees any order placed by October 6, 2026 (JST; end of that day is 10:59 a.m. ET / 7:59 a.m. PT on October 6), with later orders accepted only until its allocation runs out. For overseas buyers, the practical question is whether you want the shop-exclusive Ariga Hitoshi shikishi (illustration board), which means ordering through a proxy, or the plain figure from an export shop when listings appear.
The figure
Hilbert (Touya in Japan) is sculpted in a mid-stride pose from a new illustration by Ariga Hitoshi, the credited illustrator on the figure. Kotobukiya calls out the texture on his shoes, his sharp gaze, and the detail on his Xtransceiver (Live Caster in Japanese). Victini stands on a separate flame effect shaped like a V, a nod to the Victory Pokémon’s name.

Why this matters for overseas buyers
ARTFX J Pokémon trainers are among the few scale figures of the game protagonists, and this is the first one for the Black & White male lead. At ¥15,400 it sits a notch above Kotobukiya’s Kurisu Makise rerun at ¥11,000 and well under the ¥25,000-plus class of most 1/7 figures out this month.
The shikishi is the only reason to go through Kotobukiya’s own shop. The store is Japanese-language, limits orders to three per person, and is built for domestic buyers, so in practice you would need Buyee or ZenMarket; our proxy comparison covers the fees and the second shipping leg. Kotobukiya’s own fine print also says shop bonuses can turn up through overseas sales or events, so the shikishi is not strictly guaranteed to stay exclusive.
If the figure alone is enough, buy from an export shop. AmiAmi already carries it in Japan under item code FIGURE-207175, so check its English store first; HobbyLink Japan had no listing when we checked on August 30 (JST); Kotobukiya items usually appear there some weeks after the Japanese announcement, so check back. Read our pre-order primer if this is your first Japanese pre-order.
Where to pre-order
The HLJ link below goes to search results until a product page exists; we will swap it when one appears. The Buyee link points at the Kotobukiya Shop page with the shikishi bonus.
The October 6 shop deadline goes on the Pre-order Radar. For other Pokémon figures we track, see the Pokémon hub.
Most Japanese shops ship worldwide by EMS/DHL (7–14 days). Duties and import taxes are charged on delivery in most countries — check your local threshold before ordering.
