Kotobukiya Reruns STEINS;GATE Kurisu Figure for Jan 2027
Kotobukiya is re-producing its 2010 Kurisu Makise 1/8 scale figure (item PV512) at ¥11,000, due January 2027. Specs, price change and where to pre-order.

Kotobukiya is bringing back its Kurisu Makise scale figure from STEINS;GATE, with a new production run due in January 2027 at ¥11,000 (about $75). The figure first shipped in October 2010 and was later reissued under item number PV229; this run brings it back to retail for buyers who missed both.
The rerun carries a new item number (PV512, replacing the original PP393 and later PV229) and, as Kotobukiya notes on the product page, a higher price than the first run. Retail listings had not appeared at the major Japanese export shops as of August 28 JST; expect them in the next few weeks.
What the figure is
This is the seated Kurisu based on the cover illustration of the Xbox 360 limited-edition package of the original game: Kurisu perched on a base of interlocking gears, gazing into the distance, with the jacket, tie, boots and broken phone all sculpted in.

Kotobukiya describes the pose as having a floating quality, the point being that the gears lift her off the ground rather than planting her on a flat base. In our view it has aged well: a full seated pose with a large, sculpted base is unusual at ¥11,000.
Why this matters for overseas buyers
A rerun at ¥11,000 means a US buyer pays roughly $75 plus shipping and any import duty for a factory-new figure, rather than hunting for a boxed original from 2010 on the secondhand market.
Two caveats. First, the price did change from the original run, so do not expect the original 2010 sticker price. Second, Kotobukiya’s page notes that pre-orders and purchases may not be possible depending on stock, so the specialist shops are the safer bet than waiting for Amazon US.
