Zeta Gundam Wave Shooter & Hyaku-Shiki Return to P-Bandai

Premium Bandai reopened orders Sep 2 on the HGUC Zeta Gundam (Wave Shooter) and HG Hyaku-Shiki + Mega Bazooka Launcher, ¥2,420 each, shipping early 2027.

Premium Bandai reopened orders on two Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam HG kits on September 2, 2026 at 11:00 JST (10:00 p.m. ET / 7:00 p.m. PT on Tuesday, September 1): the HGUC 1/144 Zeta Gundam (Wave Shooter), shipping January 2027, and the HG 1/144 Hyaku-Shiki + Mega Bazooka Launcher, shipping February 2027. Both are ¥2,420 (about $16) before shipping, and for US buyers the Wave Shooter in particular matters — it is a web exclusive that is not sold at Japanese retail stores, so a reissue is the only way in at list price. The catch: by around 9:20 p.m. JST on launch day, both pages already showed no stock.

The two kits

The Wave Shooter is the Zeta’s atmospheric flight configuration: it trades the reentry-capable flying-armor form for enlarged wing binders that become variable-sweep wings, with the bigger shield forming the nose. The kit transforms between mobile suit and Wave Shooter forms, molds those enlarged parts new, and carries the GUNPLA EVOLUTION PROJECT joint layout in the shoulders and abdomen so it can pose with the included Hyper Mega Launcher. A beam rifle, beam sabers, the shield and landing gear for the flight form round out the box.

The Hyaku-Shiki set pairs an HGUC Hyaku-Shiki with recolored parts with the oversized Mega Bazooka Launcher. The launcher reproduces its deployment mechanism with real articulation, swaps parts to extend the step arm for the firing stance, and includes a display base that holds the whole firing pose.

Sold out fast — but P-Bandai reruns come back

Each product page carries the standard warning: this production round is limited, there is no posted closing date, and orders end when the allocation is spoken for. This round it took less than a day. That does not necessarily mean the story is over — P-Bandai routinely runs reissues in waves, and the Witch from Mercury HG batch that reopened on August 31 was explicitly marked as a second round. Favorite the pages (the button works even when stock is gone) and watch for a new ship-month round.

One distinction worth knowing: the Wave Shooter page states it is not sold at plastic-model retail stores, while the Hyaku-Shiki page says the opposite — it is not a store-limited item. So the Hyaku-Shiki set could surface at Japanese retail or import shops such as HLJ or AmiAmi when the rerun ships; neither listed it when we checked on September 2. For the Wave Shooter, Premium Bandai is the only door.
