The ROBOT SPIRITS ver. A.N.I.M.E. line is finishing the original Mobile Suit Gundam roster: the MSM-10 Zock, which Bandai calls the last mobile suit from the 1979 series still missing from the line, opens for pre-orders on the Tamashii Web Shop inside Premium Bandai on September 4, 2026 at 16:00 JST. It costs ¥15,400 (about $105) tax-in and ships in March 2027 in Japan. The good news for US buyers: Premium Bandai USA already has its own listing at US$140, opening at the same moment, 3:00 a.m. EDT on Friday, with shipping planned for April 2027. No proxy needed this time.

What it is

The Zock is Zeon’s amphibious heavy suit from the Jaburo episodes, and Bandai has kept its screen proportions: about 165 mm tall in ABS, which makes it a big, wide figure next to the Zakus in the same line. The one gimmick that matters is the LED behind the mono-eye. On a suit whose front and back are identical, the eye is the only thing that tells you which way it is facing, so lighting it up is the point of the figure rather than a bonus.

The box holds the figure, two effect parts (Bandai lists them as effect parts A and B without describing them further), a joint part for the stand and a full stand set.

Why it matters overseas

With the Zock, ver. A.N.I.M.E. has covered every suit that appears in the original series, so this is the one figure a completionist of that roster still needs. Bandai’s ¥15,400 buys a large, LED-equipped body; the Double X in METAL ROBOT SPIRITS opening the same hour costs ¥24,200 for comparison. At US$140 the American price works out to roughly ¥20,500 at current rates, which is the usual Premium Bandai USA premium over the Japanese sticker, but it includes the US-side handling and skips the proxy fees and second shipping leg that a Japanese order would need.

The 3:00 a.m. EDT start is the practical catch. Neither store posts a deadline. The Japanese page says orders may close early once the prepared quantity is reached, and the US page carries the same warning, so the allocation is finite on both sides and there is no way to know in advance how long it lasts.

How to buy

For US readers the answer is the Premium Bandai USA listing: US$140, opens Friday at 3:00 a.m. EDT, ships April 2027, and Bandai’s page notes no exchanges or returns. The US ship month is one later than Japan’s March. If the US allocation runs out, or you are outside the US, the fallback is a proxy service ordering from the Japanese Premium Bandai page and forwarding the box when it ships in March 2027. September 4 at 16:00 JST is a crowded slot on the Tamashii Web Shop: the METAL ROBOT SPIRITS Double X, the S.H.Figuarts Hashirama Senju and a Shinkocchou Seihou Gavan all open at the same minute, and the Double X also has a Premium Bandai USA page at US$220. For retail-channel Gundam from Bandai this month, the HI-METAL R Dragonar-1 and Cavalier-0 are the other new diecast entry. The Zock goes on the Pre-order Radar as an open-until-sold-out entry and joins the Mobile Suit Gundam hub.
