TAMASHII NATIONS has put the G Controller from After War Gundam X into its PROPLICA line of adult-oriented replica props: ¥20,350 (about $138) tax-in, with orders open on the Tamashii Web Shop inside Premium Bandai since August 28, 2026 at 16:00 JST (3:00 a.m. ET / midnight PT) and shipping planned for February 2027. It is a web-shop item, not a general-retail release, so for overseas buyers the question is whether Premium Bandai USA picks it up or you go through a proxy. Tamashii Web lists the USA, EMEA and Latin America among its sales regions, but we could not find a Premium Bandai USA listing when we checked on August 30.

What it is

The G Controller is the handheld unit Garrod uses to call the Gundam X and fire the satellite cannon, and this is the first time Bandai has built it as a PROPLICA. The set is the controller itself plus a dedicated stand; with the stand attached and the monitor raised it measures about 200 mm wide, 260 mm tall and 120 mm deep. It is ABS plastic and rated for ages 15 and up.

The electronics are the point. Bandai’s page counts roughly 100 newly recorded lines from Garrod, Tifa and Jamil, 39 scene cut-ins that combine dialogue with lighting, a vibration motor, 19 LEDs in the monitor that play out the satellite cannon firing sequence, and six music tracks including the opening theme. Inside describes three modes: a story mode, an operating mode that uses the stand, and a satellite system mode that runs the full cannon sequence.

Why it matters overseas

Gundam X rarely gets high-end Tamashii releases, and the 30th-anniversary program added two in one evening. The same August 24 broadcast that revealed the G Controller also confirmed a METAL ROBOT SPIRITS Gundam Double X, shown as a painted prototype with the twin satellite cannon deployed; price and date are still to come, so that one is worth a watch rather than a wallet for now.

For the controller, the practical issue is the sales channel. Tamashii Web Shop items have no fixed deadline and simply close once Bandai’s planned run is spoken for. The hololive-color METAL ROBOT SPIRITS Sazabi and ν Gundam from the same shop were listed on Premium Bandai USA directly, but an electronic prop toy with Japanese-only audio is a less obvious candidate for a US storefront. How to buy

If you are in the US and want to wait, keep an eye on Premium Bandai USA’s Gundam section; a listing there means dollar pricing, domestic shipping and no customs handling. Everyone else, and anyone who does not want to gamble on the run selling out first, needs a proxy service ordering from the Japanese Premium Bandai page and forwarding the box in February 2027.
