Pre-orders for the METAL ROBOT SPIRITS <SIDE MS> Z’Gok (SEED FREEDOM Ver.) and its partner unit, the Cavalier Aifrid, close tonight, September 6, 2026 at 23:00 JST on the Tamashii Web Shop. That is 10:00 a.m. ET / 7:00 a.m. PT on Sunday, September 6, so US readers have the morning, not the day. The Z’Gok is ¥20,900 (about $140) and the Aifrid ¥18,700 (about $125), both tax-in with shipping and fees extra, and both ship in December 2026. Tamashii lists the USA among the sales regions, and there is a Premium Bandai USA page for the Z’Gok — more on that below.

What is in the box

The Z’Gok is the SEED FREEDOM take on the classic amphibious suit, about 150 mm tall in ABS and die-cast, painted in the movie’s colors with original markings across the body. It comes with six swap claw parts for combat poses and one swap face part for a memorable scene from the film. The backpack is the M2X32E Volantes, whose nose unfolds into a flight configuration, and each wing’s MA-R259 Beam Riser deploys into either gun mode or slasher mode. Also included: four beam effect parts for the wings, a joint set and a dedicated stand.

The Cavalier Aifrid is an all-new sculpt. Its connection joints sit on die-cast bases for stable holding, the missile pod hatches open and close, and the wings extend into a flight form. It can also mount the Z’Gok’s Volantes backpack, sold separately, to recreate the film’s battle sequence. The box holds the unit, a joint set and a stand.

Why it matters overseas

Unlike the METAL ROBOT SPIRITS Gundam Double X, which stays open until its run sells through, these two carry a hard deadline. Tamashii Web Shop items are made to order, so once 23:00 JST passes tonight there is no retail wave to catch later, and web-shop reruns are never guaranteed. The two are designed as a pair: the Aifrid’s backpack gimmick only works if you also own the Z’Gok, so buyers who want the film’s combined flight setup need both orders in before the same cutoff.

At ¥20,900 the Z’Gok also lands below the recent METAL ROBOT SPIRITS Gundam items from the same shop (the Double X is ¥24,200). For the collector side of the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM hub, this is the last call on both.

How to buy

US readers should check the Premium Bandai USA listing for the Z’Gok first. The page exists, but we could not read its US price or its own deadline before publishing, and the US store sometimes closes orders on a different schedule from Japan, so confirm both on the page before assuming the 10 a.m. ET cutoff applies there. We found no matching US listing for the Aifrid.

Everyone else, and anyone who finds the US page closed, goes through a proxy ordering from the Japanese Premium Bandai pages, which then forwards the box when it ships in December.
