Kotobukiya’s 1/7 scale Narita Taishin from Umamusume: Pretty Derby has a guaranteed-order date of September 8, 2026 at the Kotobukiya Online Shop: ¥23,100 (about $156) tax-in, about 236 mm tall including the base, shipping March 2027. The shop page gives a date but no cutoff time. If it closes at the end of September 8 in Japan, that is 11 a.m. ET / 8 a.m. PT the same morning, and it could be earlier, so order by Monday, September 7 your time to be safe. For overseas buyers the date matters mostly because of the bonus: an alternate face plate that only the Kotobukiya Shop and Cygames’ CyStore include, and the Kotobukiya Shop needs a proxy. The standard figure is already listed at HobbyLink Japan and AmiAmi.

The deadline, and what it actually means

Kotobukiya’s shop wording is that orders placed by September 8 are guaranteed; after that, it keeps taking orders only until its allocation is used up. So the date is not a hard close, but it is the last day you can be sure of a copy with the bonus face. Orders are capped at three per person.

Kotobukiya’s fine print adds one caveat we always pass on: shop bonuses can also turn up through reruns, overseas sales, events or pop-up stores, so the face plate is not guaranteed to stay exclusive forever. If you are only mildly interested in the extra expression, that is a reason not to pay proxy fees for it.

HLJ has its own, earlier date: its listing shows a cancellation deadline of September 2, 2026, after which a standard-edition pre-order there can no longer be canceled.

The figure

Narita Taishin is sculpted in her race outfit, clothing and tail in motion, on a base textured like turf. Kotobukiya highlights the pattern and fabric detail on the outfit, the individually modeled hair and accessories, and a slightly standoffish expression that fits the character. The stock face is the default; the shop-exclusive plate gives you a second expression.

Why this matters for overseas buyers

Kotobukiya itself says orders after September 8 are filled only until its allocation runs out, so the bonus edition is the one most likely to disappear first. At ¥23,100 this figure is priced like most current 1/7 releases, a little under WING’s Neru from Blue Archive at ¥25,300 and well above Kotobukiya’s own ARTFX J Hilbert with Victini at ¥15,400.

This is not a brand-new announcement. AmiAmi’s pre-orders opened on August 27 (JST), and the figure appears in the October 2026 issue of Monthly Hobby Japan, which is why it is circulating again this week. We are covering it because of the deadline, not the reveal.
