Bandai Spirits’ official Gundam figure account (@gundam_tamashii) posted a teaser on September 5 reading, in Japanese, “Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ 40th Anniversary” over the English “Coming soon…”, showing nothing but the anime’s logo and the Tamashii Nations brand mark. No product, price, or release date has been announced.

For overseas buyers that means there is nothing to order and nothing to budget for yet. What the post does confirm is that Tamashii Nations, the Bandai Spirits collector brand behind METAL ROBOT SPIRITS, ROBOT SPIRITS ver. A.N.I.M.E. and METAL BUILD, has a ZZ project in the pipeline. What was actually posted

The image is a plain announcement card: the Gundam ZZ title logo, the Tamashii Nations logo, and the “Coming soon” line. HOBBY Watch’s write-up, published the same evening, makes the same point we do: the post reveals the collaboration, not the item. Which mobile suit, which product line, what scale, and whether it will be a Premium Bandai web exclusive or a general release are all unknown.

Gundam ZZ, the Sunrise TV series that followed Zeta Gundam, first aired in 1986, so 2026 is its 40th year. HOBBY Watch reads the post as pointing toward action figures of the show’s mobile suits, but that is the site’s expectation, not something Bandai Spirits has said.
