Gundam Base Tokyo This Week: Ukiyo-e ν, Akatsuki Set, Top 9

Gundam Base Tokyo, early September 2026: a ¥1,760 Ukiyo-e EG ν Gundam exclusive, the sold-out ¥16,500 RG Akatsuki & Zeus set, and the election top 9.

Gundam Base Tokyo has two store-exclusive kits this month — one on the shelf, one already gone. The Entry Grade 1/144 ν Gundam [Ukiyo-e Package Ver.] is ¥1,760 (about $12), on sale since August 29; the RG Akatsuki (Oowashi) & HG Zeus Silhouette set is ¥16,500 (about $110), released August 8 and sold out at the Tokyo store as of HOBBY Watch’s September 5 report. Both are sold only at Gundam Base stores (Tokyo, Fukuoka, the New Chitose Airport Annex and GUNDAM SIDE-F), not through general retail, which makes them exactly the kind of store-only stock our travel piece said to check for. The P-Bandai Gunpla election top-9 display and a Gundam Assemble diorama round out what our post-statue write-up could not yet promise.

EG ν Gundam, Ukiyo-e Package Ver. — ¥1,760

The Ukiyo-e series pairs a woodblock-print box with washi-textured stickers on an existing Entry Grade kit. Three — RX-78-2, Wing Gundam, Strike Gundam — went to general retail; the ν Gundam is sold only at Gundam Base stores (official listing).

The plastic is the 2022 EG ν Gundam unchanged: no tools needed, and it takes the HGUC RX-93 weapons or the Option Parts Set 19 fin funnels for a full loadout. The stickers do the work, and their surface is roughened to read as washi paper. The front skirt gets a seal-style “RX-玖拾参” stamp (the kit number in formal Japanese numerals), the shoulders a brush-lettered “RX-93” with Amuro’s personal mark, and the shield the centerpiece: Fuji under a cloud-veiled moon with a horned mythical beast below. None of it changes the suit’s silhouette. An EG box also slips into a carry-on beside the other three Ukiyo-e kits.

RG Akatsuki & Zeus Silhouette set — ¥16,500, sold out for now

The bigger exclusive recreates Mu La Flaga’s Akatsuki carrying the Zeus Silhouette in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM. The box combines the 2024 RG 1/144 Akatsuki (Oowashi) with its gold-plated Yata no Kagami finish, the HG Zeus Silhouette from the Destiny Gundam SpecII set, the connection parts previously sold with the Shiranui pack, and newly tooled reinforced hip parts so the RG frame can hold the HG backpack. RG and HG runners in one box is unusual for Bandai; the store’s built sample shows a clean join, and the Zeus Silhouette still transforms.

P-Bandai Gunpla election: the top 9 on display

The store also displays built samples of the top nine from the Premium Bandai Gunpla election, which ran July 1–23 across roughly 750 P-Bandai-exclusive kits sold since 2009 and drew more than 50,000 voters, per MANTANWEB’s report on the results. The MG Ex-S Gundam / S Gundam (Task Force α Ver.) won for the second year running. Runner-up MG Gundam Heavyarms Kai EW got the prize: a rerun, ordered July 31 – August 7 and shipping June 2027 — a P-Bandai order, so overseas buyers went through the proxy route.

Tenth place, the HG 1/144 II Neo Zeong (Narrative Ver.), was left out for lack of space.

Gundam Assemble diorama

One more corner: a large diorama built from painted samples of Gundam Assemble, the 5 cm miniatures game Bandai Spirits launches in October (Starter Set 01, ¥3,850, about $26), including a crashed-space-colony board. Retail miniatures ship unpainted, so the display outdoes the box. The game and its US pre-order get a separate article.

Planning a visit

Both exclusives are a store-counter purchase. Access and hours are in the travel piece. If Tokyo is not on your route, the chain’s first Osaka store is slated to open at Umeda in February 2027; whether it will carry the same exclusives is unannounced.
