FREEing is reissuing its figma Venus de Milo, the armless marble statue found on the island of Milos turned articulated action figure, in August 2027 at ¥8,250 (about $55), HOBBY Watch reported on September 10. The original run shipped in January 2016 at ¥4,888, so anyone who missed it gets another shot at list price more than a decade later. It is a regular retail release with no maker-store exclusivity: AmiAmi and HobbyLink Japan both had pre-orders open when we checked on the morning of September 11 in Tokyo, and neither FREEing nor HOBBY Watch lists a closing date.
What is in the box
The Table Museum is FREEing’s line of figma action figures based on famous artworks, and AmiAmi’s listing for the original notes Venus was the second piece in the series. The figure is non-scale, about 155 mm tall, in painted ABS and PVC. FREEing’s page credits the sculpt to Tatsuya Ishibashi (M.I.C.) with production cooperation from Max Factory, the company behind the figma line itself.
Per HOBBY Watch, the figure uses figma’s standard joints, with soft material at key points so the marble proportions survive the articulation. Along with a dedicated stand for the classic Venus pose, it comes with chest and head parts, a pair of “lost arms,” an apple, and swap-in hands, so you can pose her as the statue stands today or give her back the arms it is missing. A figma stand with an articulated support arm is also included for action poses.

Why it matters overseas
Venus is a figma you can hand to someone who has never watched an anime, which makes it an easy gift, and a reissue is the only way to get a new one at list price once the original run is gone. The price has risen from ¥4,888 to ¥8,250 over the eleven years between runs, but a new copy from a Japanese shop still beats hunting for a used one.
Good Smile Company’s support page carries bootleg alerts for figma releases and publishes a checklist for spotting fakes; our guide to spotting bootleg figures walks through it. A pre-order from a Japanese export shop sidesteps the problem entirely.
In Japan, FREEing notes pre-orders are handled through Union Creative. For readers in the US, UK, Canada and Australia, the practical route is the usual export shops. Our pre-order 101 guide explains how Japanese allocations work and why a listing with no deadline can still close early, and HLJ vs AmiAmi compares the two shops’ payment timing and shipping.
Where to pre-order
AmiAmi lists the rerun at ¥7,590 (about $50), an 8% discount from the ¥8,250 list price, with a stated release of August 2027 and no order period shown. HobbyLink Japan has it at ¥7,500 (about $50) with a release date of August 31, 2027 and a cancellation deadline of November 20, 2026 (JST); HLJ does not charge you until the item is released and your order is filled. The Amazon US link below is a search until a listing appears.
If you want an anime figma from the same production family, Good Smile Company’s figma Leoparde from Gushing over Magical Girls is another figma pre-order we covered recently.
Most Japanese shops ship worldwide by EMS/DHL (7–14 days). Duties and import taxes are charged on delivery in most countries — check your local threshold before ordering.
