Macross Zero is the 2002 OVA prequel set in 2008, with Shin Kudo flying the VF-0 series against the anti-UN SV-51. Hasegawa's 1/72 kits are the main way to get a VF-0 on the shelf, and they ship overseas through regular hobby retailers rather than lottery pre-orders.
