MegaHouse Ultimate Article Ultraman Jack Figure Pre-Orders

MegaHouse opens orders on September 11 at 13:00 JST (midnight ET on September 11, 9 p.m. PT on September 10) for an Ultimate Article figure of the hero of Return of Ultraman, the 1971 Tsuburaya series whose lead overseas fans usually call Ultraman Jack. It stands about 400 mm with built-in lights and sound, costs ¥36,080 (about $240), and ships in late February 2027. Orders run to early November and AmiAmi is a named channel, so US, UK, Canadian and Australian buyers can order direct without a proxy once its listing goes up; HobbyLink Japan is not on the list and had no listing as of the morning of September 10 in Tokyo.

What MegaHouse built

Ultimate Article is MegaHouse’s line of large figures with light and sound electronics inside; earlier entries covered Ultraseven, Ultraman Dyna and Godzilla. This one marks the show’s 55th anniversary. Tsuburaya’s LSS (Light Sculpture Studio) supervised, and MegaHouse says the sculpt reproduces the suit used early in the series. The prototype is credited to Seki Kenji (written セキケンジ in the listing); the figure is PVC and ABS.

Option arms give you either a fighting stance or the Specium Ray arm-cross, and a second left glove with the Ultra Bracelet from episode 18 is included. Two base stickers come in the box, one with the series logo and one with the Ultra Sign.

How the light and sound work

Switch ON1 plays the transformation sound while the eyes and the Color Timer light up in blue, then runs two cues from the show’s score, “Ultraman Tojo” and “Yuhi ni Tatsu Ultraman.” Switch ON2 turns the Color Timer to a red flash with the timer sound for about 20 seconds, then fires the Specium Ray effect, and the hero’s voice is included.

How ordering works overseas

Unlike a Premium Bandai exclusive, this figure goes to hobby retailers as well, and Hobby Watch names AmiAmi outright. That is the easy route for readers outside Japan, since AmiAmi’s English store ships direct. MegaHouse’s product page also files it under its Megatrea Shop and Premium Bandai categories, but the Japanese Premium Bandai store needs a proxy, so treat that as the fallback. It is the same retail-first pattern as MegaHouse’s GGG Cagalli, which opened on September 10.

Budget for the box. A 40 cm figure with a base and electronics ships in a large carton, and freight from Japan is priced by size and weight, so it will be a bigger share of the total than on a 1/7 scale figure. US readers should also add duty: with de minimis gone, a figure from Japan carries a 12.5% duty, roughly $30 on ¥36,080 plus the carrier’s fee. Details are in our import duty guide.
